April 1, 2022, Janakpurdham, Nepal – The Binaytara Foundation Cancer Center (BTFCC) is pleased to welcome Dr. Rubina Suwal, who will perform head and neck cancer surgery at the center’s new head and neck oncology department in Janakpurdham, Nepal.
Dr. Suwal completed a 2-year oral oncology fellowship, recognized by the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of India, from Shanku’s Medicity Hospital in Gujarat, India. The addition to the BTFCC will allow the center to now assist cancer patients in need of surgery for head and neck tumors.
“The BTFCC is the only hospital in the Madhesh state of Nepal where patients with head and neck cancer can receive these complex surgeries. Our goal at the center is always to assist people who need cancer care and are unable to travel longer distances. Head and neck cancers are also on the rise in Nepal, and there is increasing need for this type of surgery locally.”
